In August 2005, Front Street became the first property we owned together. The home was built in 1909 and over the years has had only a handful of owners. We purchased the home from close friends of the family. In fact, as young children, we essentially grew up in this house on weekends and in summers.

The Edwardian style of Front Street is classic and this two-and-a-half story home presents a simple, balanced facade with linear roof lines, a large front porch facing west and smooth blond brick manufactured in Stratford.

With a broad footprint, this home has spacious rooms, generous hallways, a wide central staircase with square-shaped newel posts. Light floods the interior from all sides of the home through large windows and traditionally historic doors.

Our first renovation was to the main bathroom in 2007, followed by the kitchen in 2010 and essentially every other room thereafter. We think we'll always be creating and renovating.

The perennial gardens have been re-imagined to grow within informal patterns that capture the romance of the west coast, yet are transported into the urban, small town setting.

The interior design is contemporary. Comfort is key and those who enter the home experience a relaxed, chill vibe with beautiful applied wood panelling, soft layered furnishings and simple architectural details.
